Farm to Vase is the part of our work you never see and the reason everything you do see looks the way it does. It reflects Spree Floral Design’s commitment to sourcing the freshest seasonal blooms directly from trusted growers and moving them to your space with minimal time in transit because a flower’s life is finite and every hour saved between harvest and doorstep is an hour added to your table.
Most cut flowers pass through long chains of handling before they reach an arrangement. Ours take a shorter road. By working closely with growers we trust and buying with the season rather than against it, we receive stems at their peak, fuller blooms, stronger colour and longer vase life and handcraft every bunch while that freshness still counts.
Seasonality is a discipline not a limitation. Flowers grown in their natural season simply perform better, which is why our arrangements shift through the year instead of repeating a fixed catalogue. It’s also where our commitment to sustainability lives in practice: shorter supply chains, less waste and blooms chosen because this is their moment.
The result is measurable in the one place that matters, how the flowers hold up in your home. Arrangements built from farm-fresh stems keep their form and colour for days longer, which turns a gift into a week-long presence rather than a weekend one.
With reliable flower delivery across Mumbai from Andheri to Cuffe Parade the Farm to Vase philosophy travels the final stretch intact: every arrangement arriving vibrant, elegant and ready for the occasion it was made for.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Farm to Vase – is this wholesale?
It’s farm-direct bunches for people who like arranging their own. Full stems of a single variety are sourced fresh and sold by the bunch, not by the mandi crate. You’re buying the same stems our studio works with, uncut and unstyled at bunch pricing.
How fresh are the stems?
These are the stems our own florists design with. They’re sourced through our farm and specialty-grower network, conditioned at the studio and sold while they’re still opening. The point of buying this way is that the vase life happens in your vase, not in transit.
Do the stems arrive ready to arrange?
Nearly. Give them a fresh angled cut, strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline, and they’re ready for the vase. Our Flower Care Guide covers variety-specific care. Hydrangeas in particular reward a little extra attention.
Can I order stems in quantity for a party or event?
Yes. Multiply the bunches at checkout or, for larger quantities and specific varieties, call us with a few days’ notice and we’ll source to your list. If what you actually need is the event styled rather than supplied, that’s our Floral Décor service.
Which stems last longest at home?
Chrysanthemums and carnations are the endurance athletes, with up to two weeks being realistic with clean water and regular trims. Eustomas and roses can give you a strong week. Hydrangeas are more demanding but worth the extra care. If you’re new to arranging your own, start with chrysanthemums and eucalyptus: they’re forgiving, structural and hard to get wrong.
Do sugar, vinegar or baking soda in the water actually help flowers last longer?
Mostly no. Kitchen hacks are folklore with mixed results, and some can actively encourage bacteria. What actually extends vase life is simple: clean water changed every day or two, a fresh angled cut with each change, no leaves below the waterline, and a spot away from direct sun and ripening fruit. Discipline beats additives.
Are cut flowers safe around pets?
It’s worth checking before you order. Lilies are genuinely dangerous to cats, including their pollen, so skip them entirely in a cat household. Roses are a classic pet-safe choice. For other varieties, keep arrangements out of chewing range and tell us you have pets when you order so we can guide you toward safer options.
I buy fresh stems every week – is there a better way to do this?
There is. If flowers are a weekly habit for your home, café or workspace, our Floral Subscription puts it on a schedule, with fresh flowers arriving weekly or bi-weekly without you having to reorder. It’s the same fresh-stem routine, just without having to think about it each time.
Do you offer same-day delivery on bunches?
Yes. Order before 5:00 PM and your bunches are delivered the same day, hydrated for the journey so they arrive fresh and ready for arranging.
Which areas of Mumbai do you deliver to?
We offer same-day and scheduled delivery across all of Mumbai for a flat delivery charge of ₹49. Whether you’re sending stems to Andheri, Bandra, Juhu, Powai, Worli, Lower Parel, Dadar, Colaba or anywhere within Mumbai city, we’ve got you covered.
How much do the bunches cost?
Bunches run from ₹1,150 to ₹4,650 depending on the variety and stem count. Single-variety pricing makes arranging your own the best value per stem on the site.
Can I send a bunch as a gift?
You can. Add a message at checkout and it travels with the bunch. Bunches suit people who enjoy arranging flowers themselves. If the recipient would rather receive something finished, a wrapped bouquet or vase arrangement may be a better choice.
